After being married for 25 years and having this beautiful center diamond as a solitaire engagement ring, she wanted to create a ring that represented her. We used the center diamond from her original engagement ring and added the smaller diamonds and a design she loves and expresses who she is.
After 50 years of being married, he wanted to have a ring design that represented him more than a plain band. With the new ring design we were able to melt his old wedding ring into the casting of the new ring. He know has a ring that expresses his style, while keeping it as symbolic as the day they took their vows.
The two large stones represent the bride and groom and the five smaller represent the five kids from the blended marriage.
This piece they searched for the right cushion cut center diamond, and then picked out the engagement ring and wedding band as stock bands. I then set all the stones and did the finishing touches on this ring.
This ring is symbolic as the 4 diamonds on the left represent the month they got married and the 8 diamonds on the right represent the day.
The perfect engagement ring didn't come with the perfect fitting wedding band. I made a custom wax mold to the engagement ring and made the perfect fitting wedding band so it looks like the set was made for one another.
These bands are 14k white gold each with an inlay of Mokume-Gane on one band.
